RN Nurse Clinician - Hospice Seattle at SCS Hospice
The Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Clinician will provide holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, assuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according position assignment.
Associate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current Washington State professional licensure or certification
Current Washington State Driver's license
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
Hospice certification or advanced certification
One (1) year of Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Stepping Stone or Carousel Programs
Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience

Providence Hospice of Seattle is a not-for-profit, community-based hospice ministry serving patients in their places of residence throughout King, and Pierce Counties in Washington state. Our skilled and compassionate team includes nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, chaplains, occupational/physical therapists, medical directors, grief support counselors and volunteers. We provide quality, timely, and comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care to patients at the end of life and their families

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
