Providence is calling a Assistant Nurse Manager ( Preop and Recovery Services , Evening Shift, Full Time) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. PACU/Critical Care experience prefered !

In this position you will:

  • Maintain, promote and monitor staff compliance to assure positive, open and honest interpersonal relationships with customers (physicians, employees, visitors, patients, and other PSHMC publics)

  • Assure high quality service to all customers; focuses on understanding customers’ needs and follows through

  • Be a role model and monitor staff performance of effective, open and honest written and verbal communication skills

  • Be a role model and monitor staff performance of self-management behaviors which reflect a positive image of PSHMC, following established policies and procedures and promote an efficient, cost effective work environment

  • Be a role model and monitor staff demonstration of good stewardship of resources by treating property of customers, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and co-workers with care and respect

  • Be a role model and monitor staff for working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of staff and other disciplines for problem solving without blaming

  • Be a role model and monitor staff performance that demonstrates flexibility by readily adapting to different situations to complete work

  • Formulate the plan of care with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team and documents desired outcomes/interventions for each problem listed on the plan of care

  • Implement and coordinate the prescribed medical/nursing plans of care (including teaching) to meet the desired outcomes

  • Evaluate problems identified on the plan of care and documents patient response at least every 24 hours

  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to maintain a logical system of planning for the most cost-effective use of resources to achieve the short and long-term objectives of the nursing unit.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington

  • Acceptable references from former employer(s).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing

  • 2 years experience as RN, with one year in the specialty

  • Prior nursing management experience

  • Prior Preop/Recovery service experience
