Providence Elderplace is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to float between our MLK Seattle and Redmond Clinics as part of PACE- P rogram for A ll-Inclusive C are for the E lderly. PACE is one of the most innovative health care models in the nation – using interdisciplinary, holistic resources to meet the needs of frail elders and keep them as healthy as possible in the community. The PACE float nurse is highly-valued member of the nursing team, providing float coverage for the RN case manager and clinic nurse roles at our different King County locations. Days: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8am-4:30pm

No weekends or holidays

The PACE ElderPlace Float nurses provide float coverage for our team of RN case managers and clinic nurses at our different King County locations. In this position you will:

  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to assess the needs of our elderly participants and provide the highest level of care to keep them safe within their home and community settings.

  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to coordinate complex care for vulnerable participants.

  • Utilize hands-on, compassionate nursing skills to care for and ease the way of elderly adults.

  • Communicate effectively with participants, with nursing colleagues and across several Interdisciplinary teams.

  • Be part of an excellent and dedicated team of supportive nurses and interdisciplinary team members

  • Enjoy flexibility and variation in your work and discover opportunities to develop your nursing skills and your nursing practice.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

  • Current driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle

  • 1 year of RN experience with the geriatric population

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Recent hands-on experience with wound care, venipuncture, ostomies, catheters, and feeding tubes

  • Current Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
