Providence is calling a Nursing Manager (Long Term Care, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. In this position you will:
Creates a neighborhood(s) and work environment that promotes and fosters a resident/patient directed service model with a team approach.
Selects, hires, and evaluates staff and other team members with assistance from the neighborhood team.
Oversees staffing, budgets, licensure requirements and quality management programs.
Creates an atmosphere and environment that promotes opportunities for employees to learn and grow on the job; develops criteria that monitors the professionalism and efficiency of the team and its members; identifies employee strengths and weaknesses and utilizes this knowledge in a manner which helps to improve her/his performance; treats employees, residents/patients with fairness, dignity, and respect.
Assures a healthy, safe, environment by seeing that personnel practices are utilizing appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, fire safety, disaster preparedness and emergency care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Registered Nurse in Washington State.
Has current CPR certification (New Hires must obtain within 30 days of hire).
Food Handler's Permit (or must obtain within 14 days of hire)
Five (5) years In leadership and management role as an Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.
Two (2) In Long Term care setting including end of life care.
