Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Clinical Support Services, Day Shift, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, No Nights, Weekends, or On-Call, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. The Lead RN position is responsible for assisting the Clinic Operations Manager and Site Operations Managers to provide clinical leadership of the WA PACE Nursing team. As a member of the nursing leadership team, they are specifically responsible for identifying best practice and providing assessment of nursing staff skills, giving performance feedback related to clinical skills and clinical reasoning, and providing back-fill participant care as assigned.

In this position you will:

  • Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of people. Such people may include but are not limited to: All facility/agency staff – particularly RN Case Management caregivers, participants and their family members, HCC and PSJH System Staff, outside vendors, or contracted staff.

  • Provides excellent and appropriate nursing care by applying nursing standards of practice in completing assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans for assigned group of participants

  • Workflow and process documentation is timely and according to standard practices.

  • Demonstrates effectiveness in communication with variety of colleagues and modes of communication techniques/styles; ability to tailor communication style to effectively convey message to others.

  • Proficiency in relevant nursing techniques, procedures and treatments according to accepted clinical/program standards.

  • Ensure site to site consistencies and standardizations with nursing care, med room, medical records, and infection control.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing

  • 3 years Nurse case management with elders and/or frail, vulnerable population, including discharge planning

  • Current, unencumbered Washington license as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions related to working in an environment where narcotics are available.

  • Current BLS required at time of hire. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care

  • Provider certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • Current driver's license

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree Nursing

  • 5 years Geriatric nursing
