Providence is calling a Personal Care Aide Lead / Medication Aide to Glendoveer Residential Care Facility in Portland, Oregon. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week), benefited position. Schedule is variable.

We are seeking a Personal Care Aide Lead - Glendoveer Residential Care Facility who is expected to serve in a leadership role with other Aides to complete all required documentation, assure that all care and medications are administered appropriately, to solve problems, and to communicate with the staff of the next shift. Performs basic and routine quality care to the ElderPlace residents including assisting them in the activities of daily living and other personal care tasks.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assist as needed in providing or assisting geriatric participants / residents with personal care including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming with minimal support and supervision.
Schedule and coordinate tasks to be performed by other Patient Care Assistant (PCA), in cooperation with other housing and clinic staff.
Participate in participant /resident orientation to the ElderPlace facility.
Provide input and information for service/care plans.
Represent PCA staff at planning and program development meetings, Patient Care Technician (PCT) meetings and other site specific meetings.
Required qualification in this position includes:
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and standard first aide
Two (2) years experience as a caregiver with frail elderly
Six (6) months of Medication Administration experience
Preferred qualification in this position includes:
High School diploma -OR- GED
Coursework/Training:Completion of approved medication administration training -OR- equivalent education/experience
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Oregon
One (1) year of Medication Administration experience
