Emergency Department Crisis Intervention Specialist - Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
0.6 FTE, Days (Sundays and Mondays 0700-1930)

The ED Crisis Intervention Specialist independently practices in an evaluation/treatment setting to evaluate and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders. This position will collaborate with patient/support systems to evaluate and diagnose, utilizing Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders; assess patient risk to self-and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety; provide crisis evaluations and develop care plan for patient including out-patient resources, follow-up appointments and inpatient admission if needed. The ED Crisis Intervention Specialist will demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities of advanced social work practice and shall perform duties in a manner that respects patient self-determination, reduces health disparities/barriers to care, and adheres to the appropriate code of ethics based on licensure, Standards of Practice (SOP), and the Providence mission.
Required qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field.
Master's Degree in Licensed as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in accordance with the appropriate Oregon Board of Licensure.

upon hire: Oregon Marriage and Family Therapist License. Or
upon hire: Oregon Psychologist License.
2 years Post Masters experience in a behavioral health treatment setting
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years experience in providing emergency or inpatient service.
