RN Resident – Long Term Care at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center

Job description:

Providence’s Clinical Academy curriculum for long term care is designed to provide structured, evidence-based education, strong mentorship relationships and support for new graduate nurses (RN Residents). Starting your RN career with Ministry will provide you with everything you need to succeed, including online modules, virtual classes and hands-on learning in the following topics:

  • Palliative Care, Advance Directives & End of Life Care

  • Medication in Geriatrics

  • Mental Disorders, Stroke 101 & Behavior Management

  • Mobility & Rehab Therapy

  • Malnutrition Awareness & IV Therapy

  • Chronic Illness Management

  • And more!

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree: Registered Nurse

  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sub-acute care

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
