Providence Charge Nurse (RN) - Transitional Care in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Charge Nurse (RN) (Transitional Care, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia, Washington. In this position you will:
Maintain shift accountability and decision-making for participants/residents/patients/clients care outcomes. Coordinates new admissions and in-house transfers.
Administer participants/residents/patients/clients care based on the nursing process and the interdisciplinary care plan. Ensures that nursing care and other activity functions are properly documented by the Primary Care Nurses.
Plan, direct, supervise, evaluate, and assist in the nursing care of participants/residents/patients/clients. Demonstrates clinical expertise in the execution of the nursing process and directs staff in its application. Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Contribute to the total plan of care for the participants/residents/patients/clients by making pertinent nursing observations and participating in multidisciplinary team care conference as needed.
Maintain regular and ongoing communications with family members, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members and others to ensure 24-hour continuity of care and unified approach by the team for each participants/residents/patients/clients
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current licensure to practice as a professional nurse in Washington State. Current CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire
3 years RN Experience (preferrably in sub-acute care), - OR- previous charge nurse experience,-OR- 2 years relevant leadership experience.
