Hospice Inpatient Care, Day Shift, 0.75 FTE
10-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
The Hospice Care Center Supervisor provides staff supervision and coordination for the clinical care provided to patients and their families. This position is responsible for identifying 'best practices' for care. This position performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts, demonstrates a commitment to the Sisters of Providence, the Code of Conduct and Integrity, and the core values of compassion, dignity, justice, excellence and integrity.
In this position you will:
Supervise day to day operations to ensure smooth operations.
Manage direct report staff including: hiring, corrective actions, performance evaluation, and development goal process.
Take action to ensure highly engaged and sustainable Caregiver Experience of direct reports.
Provide clinical oversight and leadership in clinical problem solving involving all members of the care team.
Provide coordination of clinical education for members of the care center staff.
Listen to and resolve patient complaints as necessary. Provide exceptional customer service and interact effectively with providers, patients, residents, visitors, staff and the broader healthcare community.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training Education sufficient for licensure
3 years of RN
1 year of Hospice experience
An unencumbered Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license is required
Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) or obtained within 90 days of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing
Experience or the ability to learn electronic medical records software.
Hospice Certification preferred.
