Providence Social Worker MSW - Hospice Snohomish *$5,000 Sign-On Bonus* in Everett, Washington

Medical Social Worker Hospice

This position is responsible for providing services to hospice clients, families, and caregivers, addressing a wide range of psychosocial issues related to end-of-life needs including: adjustment to illness/prognosis, care system issues, community resource issues, insurance/financial issues, legal/ethical issues, and end-of-life planning. The MSW develops and implements a plan of care in collaboration with the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree inn Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work.

  • Current WA Registered Counselor/Social Worker Licensure.

  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured reliable vehicle or an alternate ability to travel to sites as required.

  • Proof of current Auto Insurance.

  • 1 year experience in health care setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in health care setting.

  • Hospice care setting.

Providence Hospice of Seattle is a not-for-profit, community-based hospice ministry serving patients in their places of residence throughout King County in Washington state. We provide comprehensive and compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual care to adults and children nearing the end of their lives, including support for their families and friends. Our skilled and compassionate team includes nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, chaplains, occupational/physical therapists, medical directors, grief support counselors and volunteers.
